The Dyatlov Pass Incident

In February of 1959, a group of nine experienced hikers ventured into the Ural Mountains of Russia. None would survive the trek. This case would become known as the “Dyatlov Pass Incident”, which to this day remains one of the most prolific mysteries of all time.

  • Cause of death could still viably be hypothermia with these damages, especially if coroners find they were sustained before death. So... say you break 16 ribs and you're hemorrhaging, but hypothermia gets to you first before the hemorrhaging does. Missing tissue on lips and cheeks, and missing eyes can also be explained by animals in the area. Regardless, this is a very strange case that I always find myself coming back to... Lovely video~

(scavengers) eat parts. but nature has a perfect disposal system . when something dies it is gone in a matter of less than no time. coyotes, wolves, even some bears are out in winter. but these bodies were hardly touched. the eyes and the tounges wren't "eaten" they were "removed" with percision cutting. not ripped. taken.

  • Nick: "I find the hypothermia undressing theory unlikely because 4 of the hikers were dressed relatively well" Also Nick: "I find the psychological theories unlikely because of the number of people present. Its unlikely that everyone would experience the psychological phenomenon" Also, Lemmino did a great explaination of the radation. the gist of it is that 5000 dpm per area (I think it was like 15 square cm?) is the upper limit of what is considered normal. 1 of the clothing was at 5000, another at 5600, and another at 9900. An explanation (according to him) is actually offered, and that is that it was radioactive dust settling down onto them. Beyond that, the 2 people that the radioactive clothing was found on were 2 people who worked at nuclear facilities. I wouldn't call the radioactive clothing anything out of the ordinary considering the circumstances.

  • Honestly, i think it was the tribals. The coroners also said that these people with destroyed bodies died of hypothermia, so i dont think we can put too much faith in them saying that some of the injuries couldnt have been caused by a human judging by their blaming their deaths on freezing lol. Nothing described seemed beyond the possibilities of what someone being violent could do. Breaking ribs isnt hard, removing/gouging out eyes isnt hard, breaking limbs, causing internal bleeding, etc etc.

  • Sounds like technology beyond what's commonly known, to me. Microwaves heat food without using emitted heat. Maybe there's some sort of propulsion that can cause internal damage without harming the skin or surrounding areas. The 2 victims without eyes might have looked up at these orange glowing craft mentioned, and direct eye exposure destroyed their eyes. Some sort of alien or experimental craft flies too low, not knowing there are hikers camped below? Or the photo taking was noticed, and the violence was deliberate to keep detection to a minimum? Something in the sky is the only solution that makes sense to me, without any other prints in the area. Some kind of force directed downward that might have woken them by breaking ribs, and after the first 2 looked up and screamed from pain in their eyes, they all moved out of the area without further hesitation or looking upward? Were the victims running away from the tent, or walking? Seems that could be determined by the length between footprints. Traveling in a single file line doesn't seem terribly significant to me, for a group with experience in hiking thru extreme winter environments. It's likely a reflex that's followed without thought, even when reacting in surprise. If you have the wherewithal to stay together in a group, you'd likely fall into habits maintained in that group, even if your scared. Seems to me whether they were walking or running is more significant than the formation they walked in. They left the tent without coats or boots, I would imagine they were running, not walking.

  • Not all facts are in this video. The most interesting ones you kinda missed. Wrong dates in found diaries of hikers(and even some dates that state month after they supposed death), the bodies found laying in straight line from the fire-camp to the tent 100 meters in between the bodies(that states they decided to go to the tent to gather supplies, doing so dying in the cold 1 by 1), flashlights found on the tent and down the mountain on the slope that maybe be left to get back to the tent if needed, also the fact how much cameras they had with them(and believe me at that time cameras where a luxury especially for soviet students, and not only they had at least 4 cameras(it's speculated that they had more) they had a lot of tape to come along with it. From what people tried to scavenge from reports and photos they should have several fully used tapes(i think it's around 20-25 shots in one pack). I've read that some pictures are still not available for the public but some people seen them but not telling what's in it. Also that story about where bodies were taken, there was a woman that told her story about the bodies that was taken to their hospital for autopsy around the time of this insident. From what she said people speculated that either there were more bodies or there was a second hiking group that was supposed to meet with Dyatlov group. I saw a photo from the Archive of a criminal investigation and you can clearly see body of a woman with long hair and completely different looking than the one from Dyatlov group. The place in the picture is also was very strange, completely different from other pictures with found bodies. It is also strange that there was 2 different search groups, one consistent of students and people that wanted to help and second consistent of local military forces. The base of military group was completely in different place and they not moved it even after first bodies were found. This indicates that the military may knew about other group and tried to find them instead. And it's only small portion of it. I didn't find much in english, but in russian there a tons of information, theories, photos and even books about this accident. My favourite theory is about the snow plank, it's the most logical i found so far, no aliens or KGB bs people tell nowadays.

The injuries sustained, despite the autopsies, sound much like they froze to death, were killed by human action, or had a bad run-in with a moose. Yeti and aliens are ridiculous theories. An avalanche, once recognized as erroneous, would not prevent the hikers from returning to camp to get dressed. I lean heavily toward the Russian military or security forces being involved, possibly also a moose.

  • Okay. The more I hear, the more I'm betting on some sort of detonation. Almost all of their injuries sound like damage taken from a fall. Cracked ribs, damaged forearms, damaged faces. As for the rest, internal bleeding, damaged organs or bone damage with no external bruising? Either the injuries happened via a shockwave (internal damage, minimal external) or were done post mortem, but that's unlikely, since it usually still causes external damage.

Can You NotCan You NotPred 4 dňami
  • I hate to say it, but Ludmilla's injuries are almost all caused by scavenging animals. The broken ribs are either from assault, accident, whatever. The facial injuries are all soft tissue damage. Think rats, insects, birds, that kind of thing. Birds love to eat eyes. No I don't know why. It's just a thing they do. So, best guess, she either got hit in the chest with something solid (think a baseball bat, tree branch, fell and landed on particularly dangerous rocks) or she had been intentionally squeezed in a bear hug, had someone very strong punch her in the chest a lot, or somebody either kneeled or stepped on her chest intentionally to cause harm. So.. at best, remarkably unlucky fall. At worst, intentional attack. But probably not immediately fatal. I'd need to see a coroner's report, but those injuries (while they hurt like hell) are survivable normally. If a broken rib got in her heart or lung, probably not, but I'm guessing she was too hurt to go on and froze. .. this is going to be extra depressing to watch, I'm ten minutes in and already had to stop just to type this.
